Russia - ROC Collects Humanitarian Aid for IDPs in Donbass

Russia (bbabo.net), - The Synodal Department for Church Charity and Social Service of the Russian Orthodox Church and the Social Department of the Rostov Diocese have created an operational headquarters to provide assistance to the internally displaced persons of Donbass. In Moscow - the Synodal Department, in Rostov-on-Don - the Center for Humanitarian Aid of the Rostov Diocese switched to an enhanced mode of operation. Here they are ready to accept fast food, bread, cookies, canned food, cereals, tea, sugar, pasta. Drinking water, juices, biscuits, crackers are especially required. You can also donate new bedding, blankets, clothes, shoes, dishes, essentials, wet wipes.

Priests of the Russian Orthodox Church are on duty at each of the temporary accommodation centers in the Rostov Region. They will provide spiritual assistance to people.

Assistance to the Russian Orthodox Church is also organized at the railway station of Rostov-on-Don, from where migrants leave for other regions of Russia. Volunteers of the Synodal Department for Church Charity and Social Service of the Russian Orthodox Church and the social department of the Rostov diocese in Rostov-on-Don and in Moscow donate water, juices and essential products to internally displaced persons to employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations on duty at railway stations.

Also, humanitarian aid is accepted in any parish of the Rostov or Moscow dioceses, from there the aid will be sent to the regions of the country where the Donbas migrants are sent.
