Russia (bbabo.net), - The Kartalinsky city court granted the petition of the investigation to arrest a local resident accused of killing his ex-wife and causing bodily harm to a railway worker. The person under investigation was arrested for two months, the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee on Transport reported on Thursday

As already mentioned, on the evening of February 21, the accused entered the building of the production site of the loading and unloading point where his ex-wife worked and shot her with a 12-gauge smoothbore gun. A 48-year-old railway worker, who came running to the sound of shots, tried to stop the attacker, but was also wounded in the head.

The shooter was charged with murder and attempted murder of two persons. He faces up to 20 years in prison.

It is already known that last autumn the accused divorced his wife, but, apparently, continued to follow her and be jealous. What happened between him and the woman on that ill-fated evening remains to be established by the investigation.
