A shift of the Raspadskaya mine in the Kemerovo region, consisting of almost 600 miners, was brought to the surface, TASS reports, citing a source in emergency services.
The interlocutor of the agency specified that the auxiliary fan stopped at the mine in Mezhdurechensk. According to him, the level of methane is normal, 592 miners were evacuated.
The company's press service told RIA Novosti that there were no casualties as a result of the incident.
On the night of May 9, 2010, two powerful methane explosions occurred at the Raspadskaya mine. The accident claimed the lives of 91 people. 80 bodies of the dead were recovered from the rubble, another 133 miners were injured.
A few months ago, on November 25, 2021, 52 people died as a result of an accident at the Listvyazhnaya coal mine in the Kemerovo region.
