EMERCOM of Russia will use digital technologies to develop smart fire supervision and begin to implement remote control over the operation of automatic fire protection systems at facilities, TASS reports with reference to the interim head of the ministry, Alexander Chupriyan.
According to him, “all of this is technically feasible,” and soon remote control will begin to be widely used.
“Now the main task is to make smart fire supervision with the help of digital technologies, which will allow the fire inspector to contact as little as possible with the management of the facility, the owner, but at the same time be as informed as possible about the true state of affairs at the facility under his supervision,” Chupriyan said.
He noted that using information technology, one can monitor the performance of automatic fire protection systems, for example, fire extinguishing. Chupriyan pointed out that in case of a malfunction, the inspector will notify the owner of this, who will need to give the opposite answer.
He also admitted that the financial burden would increase.
“This cannot be done without financial costs. But when some system at the site is not working, who do we worry about? Is it about yourself personally? No, about people, about not repeating "Winter cherry", - added the acting head of the Ministry of Emergencies.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the creation of a special firefighting squadron in the country, which will include 22 aircraft and helicopters, and the state corporation Rostec will be involved in its maintenance.
