In 2019, Berfin Ozek was attacked by her boyfriend Kazim Celtic, who wanted to take revenge on her for breaking their relationship. The man used acid as a weapon, splashing a caustic liquid into the face of the Turkish woman. As a result of the incident, the woman was left with a disfigured face, and the attacker was arrested.

Then, according to media reports, Kazim peppered Berfin with love letters asking him to forgive him. Ozek could not refuse Celtic and withdrew the statement from the police.

“I am uncomfortable that he is sitting there within four walls. I love him very much, he me too, ”- said the girl.

However, after the act of Ozek was condemned in social networks, she changed her mind and returned the application back through a lawyer. As a result, Kazim was sentenced to 13 years in prison.

However, in 2021 Celtic received the right to parole, which he took advantage of. Once free, he asked Berfin to marry, and she agreed, which caused discontent among her parents.
