In half a day, a petition demanding to strip former British Prime Minister Tony Blair of the country's highest honor, the Order of the Garter, has garnered more than 100,000 signatures, according to change.org.

"Tony Blair has caused irreparable damage to the constitution of the United Kingdom and to the very fabric of the nation's society. He is personally responsible for the deaths of a huge number of innocent civilians and participation in various conflicts. For this alone, he should be held accountable for war crimes. Tony Blair is the person who least deserves any government award, ”the petition says.

Blair served as British Prime Minister from 1997 to 2007, during which time Britain took part in the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan.

Hugh Grant had previously been confused with Tony Blair.
