Israel allowed entry to foreigners vaccinated with Sputnik V

Israel has allowed foreign citizens vaccinated against coronavirus with a number of drugs, including the Russian Sputnik V vaccine, to enter the country. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Israeli Foreign Ministry.

“From 00:01 on January 9, Israel is open to vaccinated foreigners without the need to obtain an entry permit. To enter Israel, all foreign nationals must present a certificate of vaccination or a certificate of recovery (EU only) issued less than six months before departure. The recognized types of vaccines are those approved by WHO and Sputnik V, the report says.

The department clarified that at least 14 days should pass from the moment of vaccination to arrival in the country. In this case, those entering the country, including Israeli citizens, will have to fill out an online application form for entry within 48 hours before departure, containing health information.

In addition, upon registration it will be necessary to present a certificate of vaccination made “not earlier than six months ago, a negative PCR test done not later than 72 hours before departure”. Upon arrival at Ben Gurion International Airport, foreign nationals will have to undergo a "PCR test and go to quarantine for up to 24 hours or until a negative result is obtained."

In this case, the "list of red countries" in the country is canceled.

Earlier it was reported that Israel from January 9 will allow the entry of vaccinated and recovered from COVID-19 from countries with a moderate incidence. However, the government said that "Sputnik V" is not yet included in the list of vaccines with which entry is allowed.
