The younger brother of the former ex-president of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, Bolat deprived his ex-wife Gulnur of his last name, Orda.kz reports.
Bolat Nazarbayev filed a lawsuit and demanded to cancel the record of the change of his wife's surname, as well as to invalidate her documents. The decision in the case was made on September 28, but it became known only now.
It is noted that the marriage between Bolat Nazarbayev and Gulnura Duisebayeva, concluded in 2009, was previously declared invalid. At the same time, the woman actively and extensively published joint photographs and stated that she and Bolat had three common children. The couple officially divorced in March 2021 after 12 years of marriage.
The court satisfied Nazarbayev's claim in full and invalidated the documents of his ex-wife. According to Orda.kz, the woman did not appear at the court session.
Earlier, the press service of the Ministry of Justice of Russia reported that Russians in 2020 began to change their last names, first names and patronymics less often compared to 2019. As specified in the ministry, the names are changed not only by Russians, but also by citizens of other countries.
