Goalkeeper "Aktobe" Stas Pokatilov in an interview with the press service of the club shared his emotions from the transition to the "red-whites", the correspondent of bbabo.net reports.
Officially, the transfer of the goalkeeper of the Kazakhstan national team was announced on February 2.
- Stas, what are your impressions of the return?
- Thank you! Very positive experience. For me, Aktobe is not a foreign city. As is the team. We had a good season here in 2015. They took bronze. I have known many of the players in the club for a long time. Therefore, it was very pleasant to return to Aktobe.
- There is an opinion among some football fans that you left Aktobe after the 2015 season, allegedly due to financial problems. Although you then moved to Rostov. Can you comment on this moment?
- As for the financial conditions, it's not true. After that season, an offer came from Rostov, and I accepted the further path of continuing my career. I decided to try my hand at Russia.
- After last year's season, you were matched to the European Championships. But you decided to sign a contract with Aktobe. How did it happen?
- At the end of last season I immediately got a call from the management of "Aktobe". They offered the option of joining the team. I do not hide that Europe or Russia was my priority. If there was such a chance, I would not miss it. The work was going on, the agents were talking, there were options. But only in words. There were no specific ones. Time passed, and the leadership of "Aktobe" was in touch with me all this time, we talked very often. The club was interested in me, the team has big plans and ambitions for the upcoming season. Therefore, I think I made the right decision by moving to the Aktobe club.
Recall that the last club of the 29-year-old Pokatilov was the Almaty Kairat, for which he played from 2016 to 2021. Also in his career were Ural "Akzhaiyk" and Karaganda "Shakhtar". He has been called up to the national team since 2015.
