Ukrainian skeletonist showed a political poster at the Olympics

Ukrainian skeletonist Vladislav Geraskevich showed a poster of political content after his performance at the Beijing Olympics, journalist Mark Dreyer reports on his Twitter.

Skeleton competitions are held in Beijing on Friday. Geraskevich, after his third attempt, went up to the video camera and showed a pre-prepared poster.

The A4 sheet, packaged in a file, depicted the flag of Ukraine and the inscription "No war in Ukraine" in English (No war in Ukraine).

According to the regulations of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), any actions and demonstrations of banners of a political nature by both athletes and spectators are prohibited at the Olympic competitions.

Geraskin managed to qualify for the final race, taking 17th place in the third attempt.
