Valieva went to training for the first time amid reports of doping

Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva went to training at the Capital Sports Palace ahead of individual competitions at the Olympic Games in Beijing. This is reported by TASS and RIA Novosti.

The press attache of the Russian Figure Skating Federation, Olga Yermolina, told TASS that Valiyeva had not been suspended from competition in women's singles. “Camila is not suspended from the Games. We are waiting for official statements from the International Olympic Committee (IOC),” she said. The individual singles tournament will start on February 15th.

Yermolina added that the IOC should also decide on the date of awarding medals in the team tournament.

An IOC representative at a press conference called reports that the awards ceremony for the figure skaters following the results of the team tournament was delayed due to a dubious doping test by Valieva as speculation, Reuters reports.
