Brazil and Argentina to replay disrupted World Cup qualifier

The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has decided to replay the 2022 World Cup qualifier between Argentina and Brazil, which was canceled shortly after the start last September. This was reported on the FIFA website.

FIFA will determine the date and venue of the match at a later date.

The Brazil-Argentina match, held in Brazilian Sao Paulo on September 5, was interrupted in the first minutes due to employees of the National Sanitary Inspection Agency (Anvisa) and the police who ran onto the field and tried to detain four Argentine players who violated the anti-covid protocol.
