Dinara Alimbekova, a native of Kazakhstan biathlete representing Belarus, confessed how she manages to cope with the pressure at the 2022 Olympics due to the lack of medals, Pressball reports.
"Of course, the responsibility is felt, I will not dissemble. We represent the country here, and it is simply impossible to go to competitions and not realize this. Yes, I mentally try to somehow cheer myself up. I don’t know ... During the race, during the shooting, it turns out to discard unnecessary thoughts never think that someone expects something from me. And I understand that if I do my job well, the result will come anyway. If it comes to that, I myself, maybe, expect from I am much more than others expect from me. Therefore, other people's expectations do not put much pressure on me. On the contrary, it is very pleasant that many fans in Belarus watch, worry about our mistakes, sincerely support us. This is very felt. I would like to continue to please their fans, and not upset them," Alimbekova said.
Recall that earlier Alimbekova took 19th place in the pursuit race. In the 7.5 km sprint, she finished in 15th position. In the mixed relay, Alimbekova finished sixth as part of the Belarusian team, and her best result in Beijing was shown in the individual 15 km race, where the native of Kazakhstan took fifth place.
