Abdibait and Akimzhan were supposed to fight in the main battle of the tournament, which took place last week in Moscow. But at the end of January, the Kazakhstani was out of action due to a hernia in the cervical spine, and a few days before the event, the champion from Kyrgyzstan was also hospitalized. The reason is acute kidney injury during weight loss.
Initially, Zhasulan was replaced by the Russian Rasul Magomedov (11-3), and then the champion himself needed an alternative, and another Russian Abdurakhman Gitinovasov (8-2) took the fight with Magomedov. Most importantly, the fight did not lose its title status, and the fighters fought for the interim championship. As a result, Magomedov won a split decision and became the new full-fledged contender for the Busurmankul belt. At first, Russian journalist Lazorin announced an interview with Busurmankul, but already at the beginning of the broadcast he announced that Akimzhan would soon join the dialogue.

Busurmankul also said that during the training in Dagestan, his son was born. Upon returning to Kyrgyzstan, he saw his son, but then went to continue his training, and since then he has not seen his family again.
