Legionnaires from Shakhtar Donetsk and Dynamo Kiev, together with their families, appealed to the Brazilian authorities with a request to take them out of Ukraine. A video of the appeal was published on Instagram by Shakhtar striker David Neres.

The video message notes that “the situation is desperate, borders are closed, banks are closed, there is no fuel, there will be not enough food.”

According to Match TV, Shakhtar players Pedrinho, Marcos Antonio, Maicon, Vitao, Dodo, Marlon Santos, Fernando, as well as Dynamo players Uruguayan Carlos de Penu and Brazilian Vitinho joined the appeal.
