Ust-Kamenogorsk hosted the Kazakhstan indoor track and field athletics championship among senior youths (U18), bbabo.net reports. In total, 383 athletes from all regions of Kazakhstan took part in the republican championship.

Based on the results of three competitive days, two highest indoor achievements were established at the age of up to 16 years.

So, Irina Konishcheva from Almaty showed a time of 25.36 in the 200 meters, and the four from the East Kazakhstan region, consisting of Nikita Petyakhin, Ivan Teterin, Artem Sizykh and Mikhail Gorlov, won the gold medal in the 4x400 meters relay race with a result of 3:29.93.

The first team place was taken by the Karaganda region (24,029 points), the second place was taken by the East Kazakhstan region (23,275 points) and the team of the city of Almaty closed the top three (21,833 points).
