"The Professional Football League of Kazakhstan receives questions from football fans regarding the formation of the calendar for the 2022 season and the appointment of the start time of the games. In this connection, the administration of the league explains the situation:

Due to the busy football calendar of 2022, primarily related to the games of the national teams, the calendar of the Kazakhstan championship was compressed as much as possible.

So, first of all, in the interests of the national team of Kazakhstan, which is a kind of hallmark of our football, the calendar of the March matches of the championship of Kazakhstan was formed so that the players get the maximum game practice, while having time to recover before the important matches with Moldova.

The situation is similar in the next two FIFA windows at the end of May and in September, when from May 30 to June 14 the national team will play four official games, two of which are away. During these periods, matches are shifted to weekdays.

In other periods, there is a weekly cycle with most of the matches of the championship and the Cup of the country on weekends. And only a few games have been rescheduled for Monday. Thus, only seven of the 26 rounds will be held in the middle of the week.

It should be noted that the football season in Kazakhstan started on March 2 with the match for the Super Cup of Kazakhstan. The trophy was won by Tobol. The first round of the championship was played on 5 and 6 March. The championship will end on November 6, and on the 12th the final of the Cup of Kazakhstan will be played.
