“They wanted me to (again) fight Golovkin. And I said, 'Why not? Everyone wants me to fight Golovkin, don't they?" Maybe it's a little late, maybe not. But everyone wants this fight," Alvarez said.

Canelo reminded that with Golovkin he has not only a sporting interest:

“Yeah, it’s personal. He talks a lot of shit. He talks a lot. We’ll see,” the Mexican anticipates. “But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. and about Golovkin.

The first fight between Golovkin and Alvarez in September 2017 ended in a draw, and a year later, Canelo celebrated the victory by decision.

Recall that the Golovkin-Murata fight was originally supposed to take place on December 29, 2021, but was postponed due to coronavirus restrictions in Japan. The new date was officially announced on March 3rd.
