American hockey player was taken off the ice on a stretcher during an NHL match

Dallas Stars' American forward Tanner Kero was injured during an NHL regular season home game against the Florida Panthers. This was reported on the league's website.

In the fourth minute of the first period, Florida forward Brett Connolly used a forceful technique against Kero, after the collision he fell and could not leave the site on his own. Kero was taken off the ice on a stretcher. Connolly was sent off before the end of the match.

Dallas later stated that Kero was conscious and was sent to the hospital for further examination.

The meeting ended with Dallas winning 4: 3 in overtime.

This is the third such incident in recent years - on December 8, Chicago Blackhawks forward Jujhar Haira was injured after a violent reception by Jacob Truba of the New York Rangers, and on December 13, Colorado Avalanche defender Jacob McDonald was injured in a game with Florida.
