Brad Pitt sues Angelina Jolie for selling business to Russian entrepreneur

American actor Brad Pitt has filed a lawsuit against ex-wife Angelina Jolie, accusing her of secretly selling a share of a joint winery to a Russian businessman, TMZ reports, citing court documents.

According to the portal, the new trial is part of a long divorce process between former spouses. Pitt and Jolie purchased the Chateau Miraval Chateau in France in 2008. On the territory of this residence there are vineyards located on an area of about 60 hectares.

According to Pitt, he has invested a large amount of money in the winery over the years. At the same time, the actor admits that Jolie also invested 40% of its value - $ 28.4 million in the joint venture. However, Pitt insists that it was thanks to his work that the winery became successful.

In September, Pitt allowed his ex-wife to sell his share, provided that he personally approves the buyer's candidacy. The actor said he was shocked when in October he learned that a certain company called Tenute del Mondo (a subsidiary of the Stoli Group, owned by Russian businessman Yuri Shefler), without his knowledge, acquired Jolie's stake in the winery. Pitt states that Jolie did not get his consent to the deal and deliberately withheld its details from him. Now the actor demands to cancel the deal. Pitt also intends to receive compensation for the damage suffered.

In 2016, Brad Pitt divorced Angelina Jolie after 10 years of relationship. Six children were born and adopted in the marriage: 20-year-old Maddox, 19-year-old Pax, 17-year-old Zahara, 16-year-old Shiloh and 13-year-old twins Knox and Vivien. Jolie has been suspected of having an affair with Canadian musician The Weeknd since 2021.
