Russia (bbabo.net), - People's Artist of Russia, Soviet and Russian theater and film actor Gennady Yukhtin died on February 18 at the age of 89. The sad news was conveyed to TASS in the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation.

Recall that last week the actor was hospitalized in serious condition in a Moscow clinic. After stabilization of the artist’s condition, he was discharged home at his request, but on February 15 he was again taken to the hospital with a diagnosis of COVID-19.

Gennady Yukhtin made his film debut in 1955, starring in the Rumyantsev Case. Known for his roles in the films "Alien Relatives" (1955), "Spring on Zarechnaya Street" (1956), "The Ballad of a Soldier" (1959), "The Elusive Avengers" (1966), "The Brothers Karamazov" (1969) and others.

In 1976 he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR, in 1994 - People's Artist of the Russian Federation. In 2008 he was awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, IV degree.
