Russia again expanded restrictions on the import of eggs and poultry from Europe

Russia (bbabo.net), - The high incidence of bird flu in Europe has led to the expansion of restrictions on the import of products into Russia. From January 13, Rosselkhoznadzor introduces a ban on supplies from the Ustetsky region of the Czech Republic. Two weeks earlier, a similar ban was imposed on imports from Slovenia and two provinces in the UK.

"Living poultry, hatching eggs, poultry meat, finished poultry meat products (with the exception of products subjected to processing that ensures the destruction of avian influenza viruses in accordance with the provisions of the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code), feed and feed additives for birds (excluding feed and feed additives of plant origin, chemical and microbiological synthesis).

Similar measures are already in place for deliveries of a number of the above commodity items from Portugal, the province of Overijssel in the Netherlands, as well as from the South Moravian and Liberec regions of the Czech Republic. The supply of eggs and chickens from eight German farms was also limited, in particular in the regions of Harburg, Altenburg and the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia. In total, an outbreak of bird flu has been recorded in more than 40 countries around the world.
