The Norwegian airline Norwegian will temporarily suspend flights over Ukraine due to the security situation. This was announced by the representative of the company Esben Tuman on the air of the Norwegian TV channel TV2.

“We made this decision based on an analysis of the security situation. And we decided not to fly over Ukraine until further notice,” he said.

The day before, the largest insurance companies informed Ukrainian air carriers that they would stop insuring aircraft used for flights in Ukrainian airspace within 48 hours. Several airlines from the European Union and the United States have canceled flights to Ukraine.

At the same time, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine stated that no decision was made to close the airspace.

The Ukrainian authorities have allocated nearly $600 million to preserve flights.
