Naftogaz accused the former head of Kobolev of damaging reputation

The Naftogaz company, headed by Yuriy Vitrenko, published a release accusing former head Andriy Kobolev of damaging the national reputation.

In particular, we are talking about the words of Kobolev in an interview with Forbes Ukraine that the company did not fully pay him compensation and bonuses. Naftogaz replied that upon his dismissal, Kobolev received all the payments stipulated by the contracts and the law, totaling about UAH 600 million.

“We note that upon his dismissal from the company, A. Kobolev received all the payments provided for by his contract and the legislation of Ukraine. The total amount of the bonus received by A. Kobolev “for the victory over Gazprom in the Stockholm Arbitration” amounted to UAH 599.6 million,” the release notes.

At the same time, the company emphasized that the first part of the award in the amount of UAH 261 million. exceeded the maximum remuneration set by the government for him as the head of the company.

In addition, Naftogaz noted that most of the money was intended for the entire team working on the Stockholm Arbitration, but Kobolev, who did not even manage this area, guaranteed the payment of the second part of the bonus only to himself through the mechanism of an irrevocable bank guarantee and did not pay the bonus to other employees a company that was directly involved in the Stockholm Arbitration and ensured that the company received $5 billion from Gazprom.

Naftogaz Ukrainy considered Kobolev's statements to be deliberately false, dishonorable and damaging the company's reputation and undermining its credibility.

Earlier, the former head of the company, Andrei Kobolev, reported that the management of Naftogaz made a “catastrophic mistake” and did not purchase gas for the heating season on time.
