Russia - Rosturizm recommended to stop selling tours to Bulgaria

Russia (bbabo.net), - Rostourism recommended tour operators selling tours to Bulgaria to consider replacing this destination with alternative ones, or reschedule the travel dates.

"Tourists who have purchased a tourist product in Bulgaria have the right to contact the place of purchase to replace it or reschedule the trip," the ministry said in a statement.

Tourists who are already vacationing in Bulgaria through the tourist industry are advised to contact their tour operator to arrange their return route to Russia. Independent travelers should contact the representatives of the airline for whose flights a return ticket was purchased, and in case of difficulties, the consulate of the Russian Federation in Bulgaria. Russians also need to register in the Foreign Assistant app of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Recall, earlier it became known that the Federal Air Transport Agency banned flights to Russia for airlines from Poland, the Czech Republic and Bulgaria. This decision was made in accordance with the norms of international law as a response to the ban on flights on the territory of these states of aircraft operated by Russian airlines.

"In the current situation, it is not possible for Russian citizens to visit Bulgaria using direct flights from February 26, 2022 for tourism purposes," the Rostourism emphasized.

It is also reported that Rostourism, together with the Ministry of Transport, the Federal Air Transport Agency and the Russian Foreign Ministry, is compiling lists of Russians who cannot currently fly out of Bulgaria. According to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), up to 500 organized Russian tourists can be in Bulgaria. At this time of the year, the direction is popular with skiers.
