At the auction on December 21, the price of gas futures for January exceeded $ 2,100 per thousand cubic meters for the first time in the entire history of observations, thereby updating the historical maximum. The data of trading on the London ICE stock exchange are provided by RIA Novosti.

Earlier it was reported that Russian gas ceased to flow to Germany via the Yamal-Europe pipeline. This happened after Gazprom decided not to reserve the pipeline's capacity for today. It is clarified that now the gas should go to Poland. The Kremlin denies that the situation may be related to the delay in the issuance of the Nord Stream 2 certificate by the German regulator. Against this background, the price of gas futures on Euro-exchanges exceeded the record level of $ 2,000 per 1,000 cubic meters.
