The price of gas in Europe on the ICE exchange exceeded $ 2200 per thousand cubic meters - at 18:11 Moscow time the cost of the January futures on the TTF hub in the Netherlands reached $ 2194. Later, the price declined, but still did not fall below the $ 2,100 mark.

Russian gas ceased to flow to Germany via the Yamal-Europe pipeline. This happened after Gazprom decided not to reserve the gas pipeline capacity for December 21.

In connection with the decision of the Russian company, reverse gas supplies from Germany to Poland began.

On December 18, Gazprom sharply reduced the reservation of the capacities of the Polish section of Yamal - Europe, which it orders in December at daily auctions. A total of 5.2 million cubic meters of the Polish section of the Yamal - Europe gas pipeline were ordered, which is 80% less than the previous day (27 million cubic meters).
