The Russian authorities must do everything they can to suppress inflation and protect people from rising prices. This was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin, RIA Novosti reports.

In the first case, we need to do everything to target inflation, suppress it, and in reality, disposable income should grow, we need to protect people from sharp price fluctuations, which most painfully hit those with small incomes, "the President said at the meeting with members of the government.

Earlier, the general director of VTsIOM, Valery Fedorov, said that the main words of this year among compatriots were "coronavirus" and "price increases." The main international events include a pandemic (39%), price increases and inflation (37%).

At the same time, according to the estimates of HSE experts, the Russian economy has grown at a record in nine months. True, the records were formed mainly due to external demand for raw materials, including from China. And also on the wave of deferred demand and the fears of Russians about the galloping rise in prices.

The pharmaceutical industry (growth by 140%) and oil refining (+ 200%) still felt confident. A very high increase in profit (+ 1470%) was recorded in the production of chemicals, which is associated with an almost twofold increase in prices for mineral fertilizers. An increase in the financial result was also observed in agriculture (+ 44%). It is known about record yields of fruits and berries, about the very high quality of Russian wheat in 2021, the study specifies. In construction, in January-September 2021, an increase in profits was recorded by 37.8%.
