Moldova (bbabo.net) - The total volume of agricultural production in the Republic of Moldova, according to analyst Veaceslav Ionita, exceeded 40 billion lei in 2021. At the same time, for the first time since 1995, organized agricultural production exceeded production in the individual sector, mybusiness reports. md

The expert recalled that during the Soviet period, 85% -90% of all agricultural products were in the organized sector, and only 10% -15% were in the individual sector, which, as a rule, grew products for personal consumption.

After the collapse of the USSR, agricultural production in the individual sector remained stable, in some places it increased, and the entire collapse of agriculture until 2000, reaching 27.7 billion lei (in today's value of money), was associated with the collapse of the organized segment.

Thus, in the following years, agriculture was practically supported by private sector production. Organized agricultural production fell to 19 billion lei from 54 billion.

And only in 2021, after 25 years, during which agriculture was dominated by individual production for own consumption, the production of industrial agricultural operators will exceed the production of the individual sector. After investments have been made, subsidies have been allocated, farmers have received support, agriculture is introduced into an economic cycle that creates added value, the expert says.
