"Biden told me that his decision to redeploy troops is "fully consistent" with what he told Vladimir Putin from the very beginning," the media employee shared the information.

"We will support our NATO allies, show them that we are with them," Collins quoted Biden as saying.

Earlier it was reported that about a thousand US troops would be transferred from Germany to Romania, and almost 2,000 more from the US to F and Poland.

The Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that Biden's decision to send several thousand of his troops to Europe is a destructive step. Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Grushko said that such actions increase military tension and narrow the field for political decisions.
