The head of the Turkish state added that the member states of the North Atlantic Alliance have the right to make independent decisions in arming the national army.
The contract signed five years ago by the Russian Federation and Turkey provided for the supply of four divisions of Russian S-400 air defense systems worth $ 2.5 billion. In the summer of 2021, Erdogan expressed confidence in buying a second regiment of systems.
Earlier it became known that Turkey is negotiating with the United States on the supply of American F-16 and F-35 fighters. The latest Washington refused to supply Ankara in response to its purchase of the S-400.
