Russia - Couriers involved in the search for lost Muscovites

Russia (bbabo.net), - If you suddenly notice a courier in public transport or a metropolitan courtyard, carefully looking around, don't be alarmed. He does not get lost and does not look out for bad things. He is a member of the joint project of the LizaAlert search and rescue team and the Delivery Club food delivery service, aimed at finding lost people.

According to search engines, up to 30 thousand people are lost in Moscow every year, including 5-6 thousand old people and 1.5-2 thousand children. 80 percent of searches are carried out within the city - especially during the cold season. In cities, it is both easier and more difficult to search. Accustomed to the crowd, the townspeople sometimes perceive people around as one solid gray mass. In such a situation, a fresh eye is simply necessary. And this task is entrusted to Delivery couriers.

“The more participants in the search, the higher the chances of finding a missing person. We hope that Delivery Club couriers will help us collect information about the missing,” says Natalya Dementyeva, head of the information group of the LizaAlert search and rescue team. No special skills are needed for this business, the main thing is to strictly follow the instructions of older and experienced comrades. The search engines are glad to any assistants, even if the volunteers during the search will be busy with other things - namely, the delivery of food.

Up to 30,000 people get lost in Moscow every year

"Right at this moment, several tens of thousands of our couriers are on the streets. They walk the streets, enter courtyards, shopping centers. There have been situations when couriers helped people. In recent years, peddlers have become an important part of the urban environment, so cooperation with the search engine detachment seemed to us a logical and correct step," the press service of the Delivery Club said.

Cooperation between food vendors and search engines will take place as follows. Orientation for missing people will be received by couriers working in areas where the wanted person was last seen. If the courier noticed the person they are looking for, promptly report this by phone, the number of which he will receive along with the orientation. Everything else will be done by professionals.

By the way

According to official statistics, 15 percent of lost women return home on their own. Another 70 percent are found with search engines - live. The remaining 15 percent are found dead or not found at all.
