The Ukrainian Navy expects to receive more than ten American-made Mark VI boats in 2022. It is reported by TASS.
“According to the concept of development of the national Navy, the Ukrainian fleet should be replenished this year with the first models of American-made combat boats Mark-6. New units of weapons will protect national interests in two seas at once - the Azov and the Black - in the near maritime operational zone. The total expected number of boats that can be delivered in several stages is more than 10,” the press service of the Ukrainian Navy says.
The publication notes that the main task of the boats is to patrol the water area.
Earlier, Minister of Defense of the Kingdom Morten Bedskov said that the Kingdom would not transfer 400 decommissioned Stinger man-portable anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine.
He added that the Stingers would soon be disposed of, and Denmark would help Ukraine in building cyber potential.
The commander of the Danish armed forces, Flemming Lentfer, noted that the army has weapons that it uses, which it plans to use, but there is “nothing that we should give to others.”
