“The US has not kept some of its promises. For example, the agreements state that the prisoners of the Islamic Emirate will be released within a few days. Unfortunately, this did not happen,” the Foreign Minister said, adding that the Taliban themselves had to do this after coming to power. So far, the US administration has not excluded official representatives of the new government of Afghanistan from the black lists, and instead of helping to restore the country, new sanctions have followed.

Washington and the Taliban signed a peace agreement in February 2020. The deal assumed that the US and NATO would completely withdraw their troops within 14 months from the agreement was signed.

Earlier, Mutaki said that neither Afghanistan nor Russia has yet put forward any conditions for recognition, but the countries have good relations. The head of the Afghan Foreign Ministry also noted problems with the financing of foreign missions, including in Russia.
