Russia - In Rostov, a robot consultant will work on the hot line for COVID-19

Russia (bbabo.net), - In the Rostov region, to simplify the registration of telephone calls to "Service 122", a voice robot with artificial intelligence was connected. A virtual consultant not only receives and distributes telephone calls, but also advises subscribers.

"Already today, using the knowledge base "question-answer", the voice assistant can conduct full-fledged dialogues, advising the population on COVID-19 issues. The virtual consultant maintains the logic of constructing answers, and most importantly, thanks to automated learning technology, it becomes "smarter" with each new conversation, gaining experience and knowledge, - said the deputy head of the region Vadim Artemov.

In the near future, the robot will be able to redirect the applicant online to the registry of polyclinics in Rostov-on-Don, and then to all medical institutions in the region.

The voice robot is still working in test mode, but the Department for the Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations of the Rostov Region noted that, thanks to the neural network, it was possible to “unload” the telephone networks. Last week alone, the average daily number of calls to the 122 phone number was more than a thousand calls, and in Rostov-on-Don in the first week of February, more than 34,000 calls to doctors at home were registered, and this does not include calls to an ambulance.

According to official data, on February 16, 4224 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in the Rostov region. In total, 65,290 people are sick in the region with COVID-19, including the head of the region. The infection spread coefficient is 1.3.
