The issue of developing the NSU campus was discussed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin with the Governor of the Novosibirsk Region in March last year. Then it was decided to finance the construction of new university buildings.
It is planned to build a dormitory complex for 690 people, a leisure and educational building of the Specialized Educational Research Center (SSC) of NSU (in the future, a new SUSC dormitory for 550 people will appear), a building for in-line classrooms with a project center, a scientific library, a research building and an educational and laboratory building of the institute medicine and psychology. According to Andrey Travnikov, construction in the Novosibirsk Academgorodok has its own peculiarities - in particular, it is necessary to ensure the protection of green spaces, organize transport support for the work.
