During the exercises of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) "Metel-2022" BMP-1 crashed into a tank. Footage of the incident was shown on the TV channel "1 + 1".
The incident occurred as part of the maneuvers in the Rivne region on February 16. In the report of the TV channel, you can see how the BMP-1 of the Armed Forces of Ukraine drives at speed into the T-64BV tank, which was moving perpendicular to the movement of the combat vehicle.
The press service of the office of the President of Ukraine previously reported that Head of State Volodymyr Zelensky observed the maneuvers.
On February 8, the Metel-2022 command and staff exercises began in Ukraine. The purpose of the event is to work out the issues of managing groupings of troops in the conduct of a defensive operation.
On February 12, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine conducted special tactical exercises in the Kherson region near the border with Crimea under the supervision of President Volodymyr Zelensky. The maneuvers took place on the territory of the villages of Kalanchak and Novoalekseevka.
