Moldova (bbabo.net), - Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Nicu Popescu held an online meeting with Secretary of State of North Carolina Elaine Marshall, discussing issues related to strengthening bilateral relations in various areas. They also exchanged views on the success of cooperation within the framework of the Privileged Partnership between the Republic of Moldova and North Carolina, infotag.md reports.

"Each project, initiative or action for the benefit of the Moldovan-American strategic dialogue contributes to building and strengthening our friendship based on common values, such as the promotion of democracy, the rule of law and the principles of a market economy," Popescu said.

He reaffirmed the special nature of the partnership with the State of North Carolina and its importance to the strategic dialogue with the United States, embodied in numerous projects, including refurbishment and equipping of educational institutions, hospitals and orphanages, as well as partnership programs.
