Bundestag deputy from the Alternative for Germany party and member of the parliamentary committee on energy and climate protection, Steffen Cotre, expressed his conviction that sanctions against the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline would harm F itself, and the Germans would be forced to pay for "foreign interests."

According to the deputy, the majority of Germans oppose Ukraine's accession to NATO.

"The government and politicians are ready to pay a 'high price'. Sanctions or even stopping Nord Stream 2 would harm Germany itself. In addition, because of such rhetoric, our important relations with Russia are greatly damaged," Kotre said.

The words were sounded in the context of the statement of Foreign Minister Annalena Burbock. Earlier, the head of the German Foreign Ministry noted that Berlin is considering "all options" for retaliatory actions against Moscow, in the event of its invasion of the territory of Ukraine, not excluding the imposition of sanctions against Nord Stream 2.
