The head of the representative office of the Luhansk People's Republic in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire Regime (JCCC) Mikhail Filiponenko and his driver were injured in an explosion in the center of Luhansk. This is reported by the Lugansk information center.
An explosive device went off in a car in the parking lot near the building of the Luhansk People's Republic representative office in the JCCC. Emergency services are on site.
The representative office of the LPR in the JCCC confirmed that there were victims as a result of the explosion in Luhansk. The ministry's statement emphasizes that at 20:25 an unidentified explosive device went off in a parked car near the representative office building. As a result, soldiers of the People's Militia of the LPR, as well as the head and driver of the representative office, received injuries of varying severity.
The injured are provided with the necessary medical assistance. Also, as a result of the incident, the building of the LPR representative office in the JCCC, the glazing of apartments in adjacent residential buildings, as well as office premises were damaged.
Operational services and law enforcement agencies are working at the site of the explosion.
