The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, said that the Ukrainian military could fire from "Grads" settlements controlled by Ukraine. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
“Even more alarming information is coming in today from the intelligence of the DPR that orders have been given to the Armed Forces of Ukraine to fire from Grads and other heavy weapons on settlements that are still controlled by Ukraine. I'm talking about Kramatorsk, Slavyansk, Artemovsk," he said.
According to Pushilin, the purpose of these actions may be to accuse the units of the DPR, LPR and Russia of shelling and possible death of people.
Earlier, Pushilin said that a number of Ukrainian servicemen were laying down their arms. According to him, this may indicate that the situation is changing.
He added that Russia, for its part, provides the Ukrainian military with the necessary conditions, including medical care. Pushilin stressed that after the end of hostilities, they will be able to return to their families.
Prior to this, Pushilin said that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky could be pushed into an offensive operation in the Donbass. The optimal scenario for the development of events is the withdrawal of the Ukrainian armed forces from the territory of the republic, the head of the DPR noted in the same interview.
