Greater Middle East (bbabo.net), - The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the UAE, Sheikh Abdullah Ben Zayed, praised his country's "fruitful" relations with Israel and considers them exemplary. This was reported by the official UAE news agency WAM on September 28.

Ben Zayed made his comment during a telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid.

The UAE Foreign Minister thanked Lapid for the warm welcome during his recent visit to Israel at the head of an official delegation, which coincided with the celebration of the second anniversary of the so-called Abraham Accords. He emphasized "the ability to work together to prosper in the future."

During the visit, the minister met with Lapid and former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli President Yitzhak Herzog and Defense Minister Benny Gantz. He also visited the Yad Vashem Holocaust museum.

Ben Zayed also praised Lapid's statement at the UN General Assembly in New York on the importance of peace for the people of the Middle East and the two-state solution for Israelis and Palestinians to ensure security and stability.

"A two-state, two-people deal with the Palestinians is right for Israel's security, for Israel's economy, and for the future of our children," Lapid told the UN.
