As a result, the third quarter became a real nightmare for the US budget. As a result, revenues for the third quarter slowed sharply to 7% y/y at par, while in the middle of they grew by 30-35% y/y. And expenses, on the contrary, from a reduction of 30% y / y began to grow by 26% y / y in the amount of three months. That was the reason for the record quarterly deficit.
Experts believe that the main reason for this budget frenzy is overspending through the Department of Education on student loan subsidies under the Biden program. It provides that about 22 million borrowers can receive a deduction from 10 to 20 thousand dollars, depending on the conditions and income.
