Within one week, NATO can reach Minsk - opinion of a military man

Belarus (bbabo.net), - The northwestern direction is the most dangerous for Belarus from the point of view of possible aggression from NATO. This was stated on March 27 by Andrei Bogodel, Deputy Head of the Faculty of the General Staff of the Military Academy of the Republic.

According to him, an escalation is taking place on the western borders of Belarus: the neighboring countries of the republic are militarizing and conducting endless exercises.

“They call it ‘forward presence’, ‘Atlantic resolve’, where they constantly, allegedly under the pretext of rotation, transfer all sorts of weapons and equipment,” he said.

Bogodel also noted that the maximum concentration of troops would be reached at the end of May-June.

“And here some very serious provocations and ultimatums are possible. From there, all these terrorist attacks, pressure on the Russian Federation, today this pressure is on us,” he clarified.

The representative of the Military Academy emphasized that on March 27, Alexander Lukashenko checked the fulfillment of tasks by the military in the Oshmyany direction for a reason. Bogodel explained that this direction borders Lithuania and Latvia and is the shortest route to Minsk without serious barriers with well-developed roads.

“It’s literally 150 km in a straight line, and there are no barriers there: no rivers, mountains, nothing that could interfere,” Bogodel emphasized.

In this regard, he believes that there are three dangers: terrorist, sabotage and provocative activities, and military.

“To carry out an operation and pass through Belarus and reach Minsk, it will be enough at a pace of 20-25 kilometers per day - about one week. Therefore, this direction is protected by the most trained guards formation,” Bogodel concluded.

Let us recall that Minsk has previously repeatedly stated the aggressive policy of NATO countries towards Belarus. In this regard, various exercises and tests are constantly carried out in the republic. The Belarusian authorities are ready to repel any aggressor with all the weapons available in the country, including nuclear ones.
