Moldova - We can't be brought to our knees, we'd better crawl:

Moldova (bbabo.net), - After a fragment of the interview appeared, where Maia Sandu says that she does not know if time was lost this summer due to the lack of negotiations with Gazprom (as a result, Spinu, unauthorized by anyone, is on the agreed to supply gas at a fairly high price), the president's defenders were worried.

"The head of state should not be involved in economic issues, this is not his business!" they shout in unison.

Yes, no one is against, but could SOMEONE be authorized? Not "October" Spyna, but, say, "August" Gavrilitsa. But no: no one wanted to “cave in” to Putin in the summer. They "caved in" later - at a higher rate.

But, for example, Serbian President Vucic does not hesitate to communicate with Putin on the subject of Russian natural gas supplies. Do you know how much Serbia pays for gas? Very correct: $ 270 per thousand cubic meters. And Moldova buys at what price? Just about - $ 430 each. But we are proud of our "inflexibility".

By the way, according to Vucic, the terms of the long-term gas contract provided by Russia to Serbia are exceptional.

“We also talked about a long-term agreement, some elements remained. Until we sign a long-term agreement, I have no right to talk about these elements. But I can say two things that Putin said:

"Aleksandar, it will be a good decision, you will be satisfied." Second: the details that we discussed tell us that even after these six months, the winter and the most difficult and expensive, when the price on the exchange is above $ 1,000, and for us - $ 270, we will have an exceptional price [for gas], increased supply and, I believe, flexibility, "said Vucic.

And here's another not very pleasant news. In December, the price of gas supplied by Gazprom to the Republic of Moldova reached $ 550 per thousand cubic meters. This was announced by the director of the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) Octavian Kalmyk.

“At present, the price of gas on international markets has reached $ 2,000 per thousand cubic meters, and this also affects the Republic of Moldova. We are directly dependent on quotes from international stock exchanges. Our estimates for January 2022 show that the purchase price will be higher than taken into account for tariff purposes, "Kalmyk said.

And now - cards in hand. It's time for Maia Sandu to go to the informal CIS summit in St. Petersburg. But, according to the president, "there is no official invitation to the event." And to strain the Foreign Ministry? And take the initiative? How about using the unique opportunity to directly try to negotiate a gas price? At least try.

However, Sandu can sleep peacefully: she will have no choice - this is a summit of friends, and Maya Grigorievna's fiery speech on the Crimean platform can be safely attributed to anti-Russian. Well, and on what basis to give "jump"?

When the number was typed

The leadership of Moldova decided not to participate in the meeting of the heads of the CIS member states in St. Petersburg.

As stated by the speaker of the parliament Igor Grosu, it was decided that participation in the upcoming summit is inexpedient due to the vague agenda and "we will go where the interests of Moldova will be, where the agenda will be prepared in the interests of Moldova."
