Russia (bbabo.net) - The Peter the Great Academy of Strategic Missile Forces was the first among Russian universities to start training specialists in military and special-purpose robotics.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that for high-quality training of personnel in a fundamentally new direction, the academy scientists developed a federal state educational standard "Robotics for military and special purposes" and approved it at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
"The educational institution has a research laboratory equipped with advanced training systems and simulators, various interactive services and multimedia programs on modern computers," the Defense Ministry said. It is also reported that information systems with wide multimedia capabilities and 3D modeling are being introduced into the system of training military specialists of the Strategic Missile Forces. This allows teachers and cadets to reach a qualitatively new level of preparation and mastering of educational material.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation clarified that the cadets of the academy will master the military-purpose robotic systems themselves in the senior courses. Moreover, in the course of their training in the management and operation of such equipment, they will take into account the wide possibilities of promising robotic systems and advanced developments in this area. Upon graduation from the academy, graduates will be awarded not only the rank of lieutenant, but also the qualification "engineer"
In addition, the Peter the Great Strategic Missile Forces Military Academy will continue to train specialists in the application, operation and scientific and technical support of existing and future automated control systems and intelligent weapons systems of the Strategic Missile Forces.
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, more than 4 thousand cadets and about 200 students are currently studying at the Strategic Missile Forces Academy and its branch in educational programs of higher military operational-tactical training.
