The stamp on marriage and children is no longer mandatory

Russia and the CIS (bbabo.net) - Russian citizens who do not want to put a stamp on their marriage and existing children in their passport now have the right not to do so. The corresponding decree of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has already entered into force, reports TASS.

This is far from the only innovation. The form of the main identity document itself has undergone changes - "Personal code" is now absent, and the last page will contain information for the owner of the passport.

Also, at will, it becomes possible to affix a mark about previously received internal passports and about available foreign passports, about blood group and TIN.

The department explains the modernization of the passport by the process of "digital transformation of public administration", in which key information about citizens is stored in state information systems and transferred to departments if necessary.

The need to obligatory mark in the passport of a citizen of Russia in the registration of marriage and children has disappeared due to the storage of basic information about the population in electronic form. TASS was informed about this in the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in response to a corresponding request from the agency.

"In the context of the digital transformation of public administration, when basic information about citizens is accumulated in the information systems of government bodies and provided to interested departments upon request, there is no longer the need for the mandatory stamping of marks in the passport on marriage registration and children," said the agency's interlocutor.

In the summer of 2021, amendments to the regulation on the passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation, a sample form and a description of a passport of a Russian citizen came into force in Russia, which provide for a whole range of changes aimed at simplifying administrative procedures related to the issuance and replacement of passports, improving the ease of use of the main document , certifying the identity, including taking into account the development of remote technologies of interaction between the state and citizens. In particular, the validity of the passport of people who have reached 20 and 45 years old has been extended until it is replaced, but no more than 90 days. In addition, the period required for filing an application for the issue or replacement of a passport for minors who have reached the age of 14 has been increased from 30 to 90 days.

In addition, the passport form itself has been modernized - now there will be no "Personal code" in it. The last page of the form has also been changed, which will now contain information for the passport holder in an accessible form. In addition, in connection with the entry into force of the decree, the citizen himself can decide whether he needs to put down marks on registration and divorce, on children - citizens of the Russian Federation who have not reached the age of 14, on previously issued internal passports and on available foreign passports, about blood group and TIN ..
