According to the publication "Chinese Cars", the Kazakhstani-assembled crossover JAC S4 has been certified and received permission to enter Russia. This document allows you to start selling the model on the Russian market and other countries of the Customs Union. The first cars have already been registered with the traffic police of the Russian Federation, while the new product will appear at dealers in the spring.
It is interesting that JAC S4 is present on the Ukrainian market. However, an improved version of the crossover is supplied from Kazakhstan, which has a more modern design with two-story optics and a luminous diode strip connecting the narrow headlights. The new JAC S4 has dimensions of 4410 x 1800 x 1660 mm with a wheelbase of 2620 mm. The crossover for Russia and Kazakhstan will be equipped with two power plants. The turbocharged 1.5-liter engine has 136 hp. at 200 Nm, which works with a 6-speed manual gearbox or variator. There will also be a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter engine with just 109bhp. with a torque of 150 Nm, for which only a manual transmission will be available.
The drive is front, the front suspension is independent, such as "MacPherson", the rear - semi-independent spring. All wheels have disc brakes, and the car has an electrically operated parking brake. Electronic stability control (ESC), brake assist (BAS), brake force regulation (EBD) and tire pressure monitoring are announced. There are power windows and climate control, parking sensors, cruise control, a navigation system and a rearview camera are optionally installed.
