Samsung changes approach: now Android updates in Europe will be released faster

Samsung is one of the best Android OEMs when it comes to timely firmware updates for a large number of smartphone models. Now there is information that users in Europe will soon be able to receive updates even faster.

According to Galaxy Club, Samsung will be developing Uniform Country Code Classification (CSC) firmware for all of its new phones in Europe. The EUX ID is already on the 4G versions of the Galaxy A52, Galaxy Z Fold3, and Z Flip3, and it will be on most of the new phones scheduled to debut this year.

In the future, Samsung will be able to release new updates to all EUX devices in Europe at the same time, which would be a welcome move as until now users in some countries have had to wait longer before the update reaches a specific region. According to the Galaxy Club, all Galaxy S22, A53, A33 and A13 smartphones will be released with a single EUX ID.

It is not yet known if Samsung will use this strategy in other regions outside of Europe.
