Price increase canceled: Samsung Galaxy S22 will cost the same as Galaxy S21

Authoritative network whistleblower and Front Page Tech editor Jon Prosser, who has proven himself well in numerous leaks, has published the final information on the prices of the Samsung Galaxy S22 line.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 will reportedly start at $799, while the Galaxy S22 Plus will start at $999. The top model of the line, the Galaxy S22 Ultra, will start at $1,199 in the US. This is in line with the prices of last year's Galaxy S21 series smartphones, and also contradicts previous reports that Samsung has slightly increased the prices of future phones.

If this information turns out to be true, then it seems like the right move by the South Korean giant as it faces some serious competition in the premium smartphone market. In addition, the iPhone 14 is rumored to be slightly more expensive. In the Asian market, Samsung will compete with the flagship smartphones of the Xiaomi 12 series, as well as the OnePlus 10 Pro and premium devices from brands such as Realme and Oppo.

In addition to the price leak, some details about the timing of the release of smartphones have also appeared. They will be available for pre-order starting February 9th, with the Galaxy S22 Ultra starting shipping on February 25th and the S22 and S22 Plus going on sale a little later around March 11th.

Yesterday, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and the package bundle were shown live for the first time in official images, in addition, photos of protective cases were published.

Jon Prosser was the first to announce the exact dates for the presentations of the new iPhone SE smartphone and the MacBook Pro 13 laptop, and also published images of the iPhone 14 without a bang.
